THE CHALLENGE

Eyeclectic Eyewear is a unique group of optical boutiques which strives to provide Calgarians with an artistic, engaging, and "fashion without pretence" approach to eyewear.

Media Dog's challenge was to create a site with immediate visual impact that conveyed this theme while imparting critical information to potential customers and existing clients alike. Priorities for Eyeclectic were to provide clear and easy access to information on each store location, to provide a simple request appointment tool, and to showcase their eclectic range of products alongside their practical array of services.

THE SOLUTION

WEB DESIGN - LETTING THE IMAGERY DO THE WORK

What better way to convey the eclectic nature of the Eyeclectic boutiques than through the use of large scale photos of the distinctive products themselves? The user is immediately met by such photos, accompanied by bold taglines and surrounded with access points to location and appointment information.

FUNCTIONALITY - SIMPLIFYING APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING

In order to facilitate quick and easy appointment requests, Media Dog created a "Request an Appointment" tool that relates specifically to the doctor availability at each location. This way, the user is guided towards available days/hours that are most likely to result in a confirmed appointment, simplifying the process for both the user and Eyeclectic.

THE RESULTS

Media Dog was able to create an online solution that embodies the eclectic nature of this unique company. The site reinforces Eyeclectic's identity as a leader in Calgary in the optometry industry, while providing a valuable resource for Eyeclectic optometrists, staff and clients.
